I'm New Here

What is the dress code?

The dress code at Rosedale is casual for several reasons.  Many people don’t attend church because they think they need to dress a certain way. Surveys show that only a small portion of American men actually own a suit. Besides that, we believe that God’s greatest concern is with a person’s heart, not what they wear.

What kind of music will I hear?

The music you’ll hear at Rosedale is a rich blend of contemporary Christian music and the timeless hymns of the faith. To that end we offer an early service  at 8:45 am with contemporary praise and worship music and an 11:00 am service with piano and organ celebrating the hymns of the faith. Our Sunday evening service is primarily acoustic and consists of one man with his guitar singing all kinds of praise and worship songs. We utilize music that is both relevant to the culture in which we live and honoring of that which has helped build our faith.

What is provided for my children?

Preschoolers and children have Children’s Church at all weekend services. week. This affords the children the opportunity to hear God’s message in a digestible form from various volunteers and our Children’s Pastor.

What is the weekend teaching like?

It is our understanding that the Bible is God’s own breath, inspired words through fallen human hands. To that end, our Sunday messages are expository in nature and sequential in depth. This simply means that Pastor Don preaches verse by verse through books of the Bible. This affords the congregation the opportunity to hear the Whole Counsel of God preached.

How do I get there?

We are located at 26396 Lee Highway just outside the town limits of Abingdon. We are located about a tenth of a mile past Johnston Memorial Hospital on the right headed toward Meadowview between exits 19 and 22.
